Seing pictures like this really makes you grasp the aspect of how fast we are moving, just by standing on the planet earth.

This piece of work speaks to me on so many levels. From a composition point of view, the format really works with the solid mass occupying just the right volume bottom right to compliment the area of rotating star- field - (sorry ... the STATIONARY star-field). The tracks of the stars create a feeling of vertigo and a real sense of standing on a planet in the void of space.
The small section of tree (for me) represents the fleeting passage of time we spend on the Earth compared to the millenia the rock has existed.
The stars show the true meaning of time, our movement through the galaxy and how insignificant we really are.
